Viticulture Characteristics
Early to bud and late to ripen; clusters are medium sized with large, loose berries. Vines are drought tolerant but susceptible to powdery mildew
Wine Characteristics
Full-bodied with high acidity. Furmint wines can express a wide range of aromas and flavors, including green apple, pear, citrus, honey, nuts, and smokiness. Can be made dry with oak aging or sweet as a dessert wine.
